The September Coco WSOP Circuit series featured 13 primary tournaments along with a full slate of secondary events including the Seniors Event. The headline tournament was the $1,000,000 Guarantee Main Event and it featured a tough lineup. New Yorker Steven Sarmiento outlasted the 617-entry field to earn the title along with $188,158 along with a seat in the WSOP Global Casino Championship.
As far as settling the other GCC seat, it came down to the last final table of the last event of the series. Howard Mash, Scott Roberts, and Zachary Mullennix all made the final table of Event 13 with a chance to take top honors.
Mash cashed in seven of the 13 events but fell short at the Event 13 final table. Mullennix won the Monster Stack tournament but his seventh-place finish in Event 13 was not enough to lift him to the Casino Championship. Roberts, the Event 4 winner, finished in second place to lock up the top spot on the leaderboard for his seat in the Global Casino Championship.
