Cord Garcia, Event 8 Turbo Champ

Event 8 on the WSOP Circuit schedule was a $600 buy-in Turbo that once again lived up to its name. The tournament drew 84 entries and featured a tough final table with multiple ring and bracelet winners. When the dust settled, Cord Garcia was the last player standing to win his third WSOP Circuit ring, a nice addition to his WSOP Colossus bracelet.

In addition to Garcia at the final table, Scott Roberts and Zachary Mullennix were going for their second win of the series. Roberts wife Lisa was sitting to his left and Mark Amaral was looking for his second ring.

Garcia defeated Roberts heads up to win the title along with $13,098 while Roberts will likely move to the top of the Casino Champion Leaderboard in the morning.
