There’s no stopping them now, at least not until the can see the final table but that can happen in a hurry. Event 5 played one level after the three-table redraw and lost nine players before the next level was complete. Tournament staff paused the clock for the second of three redraws with the next coming when 10 remain.

Registration closed on the one-day Double Stack Turbo tournament and Event 5 had a great turnout. Event 5 drew 209 entries, the biggest we’ve had for this format, and they created a prize pool worth $68,970 to blast the $50,000 Guarantee.

The last 32 spots will make some money with a min-cash worth $553 and the Event 5 champ will earn $16,720 plus the WSOP Circuit ring.

There is only one new WSOP Circuit ring event on the schedule today and it will be a popular one. Event 5 is a $400 tournament with double starting stack, turbo format, one-day structure and a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players will start with 30,000 stacks and blind levels last 20 minutes from start to finish. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 3:20 pm and it will be a fast affair from there to the winner.

Cards go in the air at 11 am in The Pavilion and we will hit some of the highlights along the way.
