The pace of action really slowed after the third break with only six players hitting the rail in a level and half. They still have a bit of work to do before hitting the money bubble.

Flight B is back underway after the break and everyone is chasing SHRP regular Gil Aboodi at the top of the counts. He pushed his 15,000 starting stack up to 133,500 after 12 levels and a favorite to advance to Day 2.

Aboodi is looking add his third title to his list of accomplishments at a third property. So far he’s booked wins in our sister rooms in Hollywood and Tampa but needs a Coco title for a kind of triple crown.

Aboodi won a Black Chip Bounty event during the SHR Showdown in Hollywood in 2017 and he earned a $71K payday after winning the Tampa Winter Poker Open $570 Deepstack tournament.

The Flight B field is dropping quickly as they head towards the next break of the day. The clock shows 63 remaining but there are a few empty seats waiting to be counted. They should hit the money about an hour after the next break with 35 getting paid and it will move even faster after that.

Defending champion David Dibernardi is playing again this evening and looking for his second cash of the day. He made it into the money in Flight A but settled for a 35th place payout. Dibernardi entered Flight B after that and trying to make it through to Day 2 (or at least make another trip to the payout desk).

The numbers are in and Flight B officially drew 230 entries to put another $75,900 in the Event 2 prize pool. Tonight’s players will hit the money when 35 players remain and they will book a $555 min-cash for their time.

Flight B will continue to play until only 19 players remain and they will advance to Day 2 on Sunday at noon.

While Flight A was playing down to the end of their day, Flight B hit Level 9 and registration closed to get us to the midway point of the tournament. The 4 pm flight drew a great number with 230 entries pushing the combined total to 485. More than halfway to the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool with two huge flights running tomorrow.

Flight B will hit the money when 35 players remain and action will halt when the last 19 advances to Day 2.
