Jessica Dawley

A player limped in early position followed by a limp from Scott Efron in the hijack. Jessica Dawley raised to 4,500 to get a fold from the original caller and Efron tossed his last 13,900 (total) into the middle. Dawley called to put him at risk of hitting the rail.

Dawley: JsTc
Efron: Ad7c

Efron was ahead, stayed that way on the Qs9h4c flop, but Dawley picked up an open-ended straight draw. She paired the Td turn to take the lead and made the overkill straight on the 8s river.

Curtis Daye

The Main Event is close to crossing the 800 entry mark between the two starting flights and the prize pool is already over $1.3 million with an hour remaining in registration.

We found two more Coco WSOP Circuit champions, both adding jewelry in the last few days. Curtis Daye played his first ever WSOPC event two days ago and yesterday won the High Roller ring yesterday after denying Phil Hui his fifth ring.

Matthew Zarcadoolas added a second WSOPC ring to his list of accomplishment after defeating the field in the $400 NLH one-day ring event.

Matt Bretzfield

The Flight B entry count continues to climb higher and the stacks are as well. Matt Bretzfield, 2019 LHPO PLO champ, is the latest to build a castle and sits with 155,000.

Meanwhile, Justin Harvell is max relaxed at his table, getting a massage and working his way up the counts. Harvell broke through to win his first WSOP Circuit ring earlier this week after a string of close calls. He outlasted the 547-entry field in the Monster Stack to walk away with $37,914.

Will Givens

The dinner break is complete and Flight B players are back in their seats. They will play three more levels, take a break, and registration will close on the Main Event at that point.

WSOP bracelet winner Will Givens is the post-dinner front runner with 186,500 to set himself up for a deep run this evening. It looks like Mirza Nagji sits in second with 156,000 but there’s plenty of time to spin up a stack.

Brandon Duvdivano

The one-hour dinner break is around the corner and players are getting their food plans in order. The field has continued an upward shot throughout the day and now shows 412 Day 1B entries. Brandon Duvdivano is the best of the lot thus far, claiming almost 150,000 chips. While it’s a good start, there’s a still a ways to go to catch Day 1A chip leader Edward Gilfillan’s 380,000 stack.

Main Event Day 1B: Dominique Mosley Gets One Through

Level 8: 300/600 with a 100 ante
Day 1B Entries: 400 (Total Entries: 753)

Dominique Mosley

Dominique Mosley still had about starting stack, but put his tournament life on the line in a pot versus Charlie Dawson. The flop was Ad9h7hTs and Dawson was on the button with 5,500 in the pot. Mosley was in the small blind and jammed about 28,000. It was back on Dawson who had him covered. After a minute or so of thought, Dawson mucked and Mosley took the pot.

Mosley is a past champion of this series having won last year’s $3,250 High Roller.

Adrian Turner

The second break’s done and some big stacks are starting to emerge. Triple digits is the territory to be in and a quick walk around the tournament floor revealed at least two players at that threshold.

The first, Adrian Turner, claims about 125,000. The second player up there is former Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open champion Brian Altman. Altman has slightly less than Turner, but still good for one of the best in the room.

Sheddy Siddiqui

Sheddy Siddiqui played yesterday’s Day 1A, but fell shy of a Day 2 berth. The Main Event permits a single re-entry per flight, though, and Sheddy is back in the game on this Saturday. In all, players can enter four total times — twice per flight.

The second break of the day is just a few moments away and we’ll take a look at the big stack while players are out.

Main Event Day 1B: David Bradshaw in Town for the Big One

David Bradshaw

With a good pricepoint, strong guarantees and lots of play, the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event has a draw all itself. Pair those aspects with the Seminole brand and a number of players are in town solely for this event.

One player that made the trek to South Florida to compete for seven figures is David Bradshaw. Bradshaw is a Seminole regular and has enjoyed lots of success at our properties. Most notably, Bradshaw won the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Main Event good for a huge score and loads of points toward the Player of the Year leaderboard.
