Event 6 (Day 1B): Back For More

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 7: 400/800/100 Ante

Bruce Snell (Okeechobee, FL)
Bruce Snell (Okeechobee, FL)

Bruce Snell was eliminated at the start of this level, but he’s decided not to let that deter him. Snell was just spotted walking back into the room with a new ticket in his hand.

“Oh, he’s back,” someone at his former table notices.

“… For more punishment,” Snell finishes the sentence.

Snell is a semi-professional poker player from central Florida, and he certainly knows his way around this room. Last year, Snell took third place in the $2,500 Coco Poker Open Championship Event. That finish was worth $150,000, and he currently sits among the the top 1,500 players listed on the Global Poker Index rankings.

Event 6 (Day 1B): Familiar Faces

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 2: 75/150

The second level begins, and the field is growing fast. The board shows 53 entries so far, with registration open until the start of Level 10.

A few familiar faces have straggled through the door over the course of the last 30 minutes. South Florida pro Lily Kiletto is one of a handful of ladies in attendance.

Bruce Snell is another local, and he was part of the six-way chop last night. Snell is back for an encore this evening.

Ory Hen is certainly worth a mention, as well. He is the reigning SHRP Player of the Year, and his tournament résumé includes nearly $1 million in career earnings.

Event 6 (Day 1B): Man Down

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 50/100

Former WSOP bracelet winner Jason Young is a new South Florida transplant, and he was among those who elected to play this evening’s session.

Things reportedly went sour in a hurry for Young. His seat is empty, his chips are gone, and he he has been eliminated. A quick poll of the table confirms that he ran pocket tens into pocket aces on his final hand.

There’s a silver lining for Young; re-entry is available until midnight, so there’s still time to recompose and rejoin the action.

Event 6 (Day 1A): DFish Ends with The Lead

Darryll Fish (Cape Coral, FL)
Darryll Fish (Cape Coral, FL) finished 1A with the chip lead

It was a very close race at the end of 1A between Darryll Fish and Lisa Teebagy for the lead. There were several hands which could have changed things and it was Fish barely clipping her. There is only a 1,500 different between them with Fish walking away with the $2,500 Championship seat.

Flight 1A had 12 players survive to bag up chips with Matthew Yorra, Scott Efron,  and Steve Karp rounding out the top five. They will return tomorrow with the remainder of 1B at 5pm and blinds at 2,500/5,000 with a 500 ante.
