Event 6 reached 40 entrants at the start of Level 3 with four hours left to mix it up and get in the game.

Darryll Fish is making his first appearance in the 2015 Coco Poker Open. The local legend has been making noise in poker tournaments since he was allowed in the room with $1.8 million in career earnings (not to mention his career as “DFish”, the online poker wizard).

Fish has three WPT final tables, three WSOP final tables with a third place in the National Championship a few months ago, and one WSOP Circuit ring earlier this year.

Howard Mash looking for a third straight title
Howard Mash looking for a third straight title

Some people love the grind and some people ride a heater, Howard Mash seems to be both. He’s back in the Pavilion this morning just a few hours after winning his second consecutive Coco Poker Open title.

Mash won the Heads Up Event 5 in the early morning hours after a long Sunday grind, beating Kyle Taddei for the title. He came back last night for the $25,000 GTD Event 6, then took home that trophy and biggest cash after a six-way deal at 5 o’clock in the morning.

Six hours later and he’s here once again trying his hand at the $50,000 GTD Event 6.

Event 6 (Day 1A): Deep Stacks and Big Money

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 50/100

After the long grind yesterday morning and early this morning in Event 5, we have a smaller field tournament starting this morning with some big bucks at the end. Event 6 is the biggest buy-in outside the $2,500 Championship on the schedule and the $560 tournament features a $50,000 guarantee.

There are two starting flights, the one about to kick off at 11am and another at 7pm. The survivors will combine tomorrow for Day 2 and play down to a winner. The chip leader at the end of each flight will also receive an entry into the $1,000,000 Guaranteed Championship starting October 1.

They sit down to 20,000 stack and play 30-minute levels during the opening flights then switch to 40-minute levels on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the end of Level 9, approximately 4:15pm.

Players are making their way to the tables and we will be underway in a few minutes.
