Matthew Zarcadoolas

Players are getting ready to take the last break of the day with 49 players remaining. They will reach 32 before another break comes around so they will return to play into the money.

Matthew Zarcadoolas is the latest to build a big stack. He’s up to 295,000 after sending T.K. Miles out of the tournament late in the day.

Event 1 Day 1B: Julio Delgado Sends One Out; James Tomblin Leads

Level 14:  1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 ante
Day 1B Players Remaining:  63 of 249

Julio Delgado

The field is quickly dropping down closer to the money bubble. We have 63 players still in Flight B and they will keep going until only 32 remain to move on.

Julio Delgado is doing his part. The second break chip leader was sitting in the big blind when the under the gun player moved all in for 25,500. Delgado called with Kc4d and was up against JdTd and his king was good after the Ac5c5s8s9c run out.

That hand moved Delgado up to 298,000 but that is only good for the second-biggest stack at this stage. James Tomblin was second at the break but now leads with 310,000.

T.K. Miles

After registration closed, we found T.K. Miles grinding in the back corner of the Poker Room and having a pretty good day. The 2021 RunGood Poker Series Main Event runner-up is stacked up to 170,000 as they move closer to the end of the day.

Miles was heads-up with Raminder Singh last year at the Main Event final table when the two decided to make a deal. They both earned $45,456 with Singh taking the title and ProAm seat. Miles stayed close to home and played the Tampa Winter Poker Open Main Event at the same time as the ProAm and shipped an outright win for a $213,035 payout.

The second came to an end and the tournament clock shows 249 entries. Another great turnout and we will post the official numbers as soon as we have the final count.

Julio Delgado went big over the last four levels, running his 25K starting stack up to 222,500 for the clear lead. To put that number in perspective; the average stack heading into Day 2 is 200,000. James Tomblin sits in second with 154,300 while the others try to chase them down.

Raminder Singh

Flight B reached the last level with open registration and they are nearing 250 for the day. A great turnout and we expect an even bigger crowd tomorrow.

Get here early.

The talent pool went up a good deal in the last hour with three tough players taking a seat with Raminder Singh, RunGood Ambassador Ray Henson, and WSOP bracelet winner (plus seven-time Hollywood champ) Yuval Bronshtein now in the field.

Singh is our defending RunGood Main Event champion after taking the title last summer for $45,456 and the win included a seat in their ProAm in Las Vegas. He didn’t stop there, that tournament had an 88-player field for the Invitational and Singh turned his Coco win into a trophy there as well.

Event 1 Day 1B: Scott Levitt Doubles Then Sends One Out

Level 9:  500/1,000 with a 1,000 ante

Scott Levitt

With the flop reading Ts8s7d, Scott Levitt put his entire stack of 32,000 in the middle and his opponent called to put him at risk.

Levitt: Ks9s
Opponent: AdAs

Levitt was behind the pocket aces but had a flush draw plus and open-ended straight draw to double up. The 3c turn changed nothing but Levitt found his spade on the Qs river to double up.

On the next hand, a player in late position opened to 2,300, Levitt put him all in and he called for 22,000 total.

Levitt: AsKh
Opponent: TdTh

It was a race and Levitt took the lead on the Ks6s3c flop with his paired king. The 7d turn and 6c river finish the board to send Levitt another big pot.

Andra Zachow

With the weekend here and big money on the line, we’re seeing more people travel to town from outside the immediate area. We will continue to see out a lot of out-of-town friends over the next few days.

Andra Zachow and Mark Wincell are two who made the trek across the state and Hard Rock Tampa Poker regulars are in the tournament this afternoon trying to get through to Day 2.

Claudio Piedrabuena

The first break has come and gone and we found our early front runner. Claudio Piedrabuena leads the field by a healthy margin and his 111,100 is the only stack over 100K. Edward Clark is his nearest competition with 88,400 with a string of players around 70K.

Piedrabuena came close to making history in Hollywood a few years ago. During their first-ever WPTDeepStack Main Event in 2015, he finished second to Lawrence Whyte for the title.

Howard Mash

Flight B is nearing the first break of the day with a huge turnout getting even bigger. The prize pool is climbing and we have a lot of players coming into the Poker Room for some action.

Zoltan Czinkota and Howard Mash were two familiar faces here near the beginning. Czinkota picked up a trophy in Hollywood during their Poker Showdown series and Mash has a bit of history here.

The WSOP bracelet winner set a unique record when he won back-to-back tournaments during the 2015 Coco Poker Open; the $150 Deep Stack on September 27th and the $500 Heads-Up title on the 28th.
