Nachman Berlin

After starting the final table second to last in the counts, Nachman Berlin was whittled down to just 13,500. He was under the gun and jammed. It folded to Tim Kegel in the cutoff.

“I’m trying to double you up,” Kegel said to Berlin.

“No. Don’t double me up,” Berlin laughed back. “I’d be fine with a fold.”

Not only did Kegel call, but Steve Zukowski came along from the button as well. With that, Berlin had the opportunity to triple. Kegel and Zukowski were battling for a side pot.

Flop: 9c4s2h

Kegel checked and Zukowski bet 25,000. Kegel folded and Zukowski had Berlin at risk.

Zukowski: 9s7s for top pair
Berlin: Ad7d for ace-high

Zukowski had outdrawn Berlin, and the Kd turn and Ts river didn’t improve either player. Berlin was eliminated in 10th place earning $700.
