Event 3, this evening’s 6 p.m. $80 no limit hold’em tournament, drew 82 players. The prize pool matched the $5,000 guarantee and pays the official, nine-handed final table. The 9th-place finisher earns $125 while the tournament’s champion pockets $1,750.

Following just over four hours of play, the field is down to the last 10 players and combined to one table. Willie Baptiste leads the action, but it’s Jim Newcomb who headlines it. After finishing runner up in Event 2 just a few hours ago, Newcomb is back at it in Event 3 and among the final 10 participants. He holds 43,100 chips, about half that of Baptiste’s 110,500 stack.
