The pace of Day 2 has claimed at least two Seminole notables as former Player of the Year David Prociak and reigning Player of the Year Brett Bader have been eliminated. They’re just some of the most recent in a slew of players have been eliminated in the nearly two hours since the action restarted.

Phil Hui was in early position and limped as did the player on his direct left. From there, a short player shoved for his last 15,000. It folded all the way back to Hui who raised. The original limper got out of the way and Hui had the all-in player at risk.

The Day 2 action has been fast and furious with more than 40 players already gone. Among the early bustouts is the defending champion, Kammar Andries. Andries began the restart toward the middle of the counts, but couldn’t get anything going early.

Ruslan Dykshteyn opened to 9,000 from early position and Greg Spinder called from middle position. It was on start-of-day chip leader Brian Altman — who’d been knocked down and had less chips than Dykshteyn — and he three-bet to 32,000. Dykshteyn found a reluctant fold while Spinder four-bet all-in for about 70,000. Altman called and it was table time.

Two starting days are in the book and an 805-entry field is down to only 171 remaining in the World Series of Poker Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek Main Event. This $1,700 buy-in event smashed the $1,000,000 guarantee to the tune of a $1,368,500 prize pool. Leading the way heading to Day 2 is Brian Altman, a past champion of Hollywood’s Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship.

Altman’s stack is worth 387,000 and he tops a tough field that includes Ruslan Dykshteyn, Bryce McVay and Mark Dube all in the top 10. Others in the game include Matthew Leecy, David Prociak, Phil Hui, Hyndi Khomutetsky, Jason Young and others.
Only the top 81 players finish in the money meaning the field needs to cut in half and then some. A min-cash earns $3,037 while a seat at the nine-handed final table locks up $23,038. Payouts escalate from there and climax in the form of a $243,916 first prize. In addition, the champion earns a berth in the season-ending Global Casino Championship.

The final ring event of the 2019 World Series of Poker Circuit at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek begins today at 11am. This is a one-day turbo boasting a $400 buy-in and 20-minute levels throughout. Players begin with 15,000 chips and registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 13. The speedy structure is expected to have this tournament wrapped before midnight local time.
