The turbo event, last chance for a ring for a lot of players, quickly played down to its final table with a few familiar faces. No more so than Scott Russ. This is the third running of the Coco WSOP Circuit series and he won the ring in the first two runs. Now he has a chance to go three-for-three in the series-closing turbo.

Ruslan Dykshteyn opened to action from early position and his raise made it around to Matthew Zarcadoolas in the small blind. He moved all in for 166,000 and Dykshteyn called.

Mark Dube raised to 30,000 from early position and Matthew Lambrecht promptly shoved for 221,000 from his direct left. It folded to Jason Young in the small blind and he shoved for a pile. It was back on Dube and he folded putting Lambrecht at risk against a lone player.

The one-day Seniors Event drew another big crowd with 303 total entries. That easily smashed the $25,000 guarantee with a total prize pool worth $60,600. The top 30 spots are set to finish in the money with a min-cash worth $362. Payouts escalate from there and top out in the form of a $14,420 top prize. On top of that, the South Florida Senior champion earns a WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Warren Sheaves continued his upward trend recently eliminating David DiBernardi in 56th place. The cash is another notch in DiBernardi’s belt as he kicked off this Seminole Coconut Creek Circuit with a win in the huge, $400 re-entry event. The win came at the hands of a 1,607-entry field and earned him $88,842.

It was on the fifth round of hand-for-hand play when Hyndi Khomutetsky got the last of bracelet winner Chris Tryba’s stack. On the fateful hand, Tryba shoved about 95,000 from middle position and it folded to Khomutetsky in the big blind. She called and Tryba needed some help.
