Reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Brett Bader is a regular here in Coconut Creek and as such wasn’t one to miss a shot at a gold ring opportunity on his him turf. Last year, Bader put a hurt on the Coconut Creek, Hollywood and Tampa Championships ultimately going down as the tour’s POY. He earned entry in all of this years’ Championship as well as a slew of comp dollars to use at the properties.

Bader is out of pocket for this $400 opener, but that’s a modest investment for the traveling pro with more than $1,000,000 in earnings.

The SHRP POY race encompasses all major Championships and runs through August’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. This year’s contest is currently lead by Sheddy Siddiqui.

Following the conclusion of the series, the player that owns the most points will go down as the Casino Championship and earn a free $10,000 entry in the Global Casino Championship.
