Since winning his first career WSOP Circuit ring a little over two years ago, Martin Ryan has gone on an unprecedented heater. In Event 12, he had a great chance to add a tenth WSOPC ring to his list of accomplishment. But standing in his way was David Moses.

Moses overcame a big chip deficit to win his first career WSOP Circuit title along with $10,591 after he was the last player standing in the $400 Turbo. The tournament put up a very nice prize pool of $35,310 on a Saturday afternoon and the last 12 earned some money heading to the final table.

It wasn’t easy sailing for Moses. He had a tough final table to compete against that, besides Ryan, included John Holley going for his seventh ring and Wally Maddah his second. Holley had a huge lead to start the final table but Ryan overtook him, then eliminated him to hold the majority of chips in play when it was three-handed.

Ryan eliminated Hank Sitton and seemed poised to add to his legend. But it wasn’t meant to be as he ran his nines into the aces of Moses to give up the lead and it was over a few hands later when Ryan’s straight was second best to Moses’ flush.

A former online pro, Moses has recorded all but one of his live tournament cashes at WSOP Circuit events in North Carolina but that changed starting this year. He went deep in the 2019 SHR Hollywood LHPO $360 Deep Stack event a few weeks ago and now owns a WSOP Circuit Coco ring.

Another ring is up for grabs in Event 12 of the World Series of Poker Circuit at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek beginning at 4pm. This is a one-day re-entry turbo with a $400 buy-in. Players begin with 15,000 chips and are slated to play 20-minute levels throughout. Registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 12 while the tournament is expected to conclude around 2am.
