The New Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Race

With the new Seminole Hard Rock Poker season comes the new Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year race. This year’s matrix is streamlined offering three tiers of points giving players the ability to quickly and accurately decipher the value of their in-the-money finishes.

The WPTDeepStacks-Immokalee series kicked off the race earlier this month and saw the Main Event’s final 27 players finish in the money and earn points. The event’s champion, Nathan Papp, donned the title and took the early lead in the 10-tournament SHRP POY race.

New points breakdown:

As in past year’s each of the 10 SHRP Championships will be points eligible. Following the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship, the top three points earners will be awarded prize packages as follows:

1st Place – Estimated value, $32,450

  • Four (4) tournament entries into Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Championship/Main Events ($13,350)
  • Two (2) tournament entries into Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Championship/Main Events ($2,750)
  • Two (2) tournament entries in Seminole Casino Coconut Creek Championship/Main Events ($3,600)
  • Two (2) tournament entries into Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee Championship/Main Events ($2,750)
  • Hotel and dining credits at Seminole casinos during poker season ($10,000 estimated value)

2nd Place – Estimated value, $19,750

  • Three (3) tournament entries into Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Championship/Main Events ($12,250)
  • Hotel and dining credits at Seminole casinos during poker season ($7,500 estimated value)

3rd Place – Estimated value, $13,750

  • Two (2) tournament entries into Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Championship/Main Events ($8,750)
  • Hotel and dining credits at Seminole casinos during poker season ($5,000 estimated value)

Winners of each of the SHRP Championship winners will receive a $5,250 seat in the season-ending Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship in August 2017.
