Tournament staff announced plans for the rest of the evening. The remaining Event 1 players will work through the next two levels of the tournament and will take a 30-minute dinner break at the conclusion of Level 12. They will return after that to play towards the money, final table, and Event 1 champion.

The numbers were crunched and we have the official payout information for Event 1. The tournament drew 199 entries to create a prize pool worth $65,670 for a good jump over the $50,000 Guarantee.

Event 1 has reached the eighth level of the day and time is running out to enter this opening tournament. The $50,000 guaranteed prize pool is way in the distance and we’re cruising towards 200 entries.

Brett Bader joined recently and is closing out his 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Player of the Year run. His reign came to an end after the 2019 SHRPO Championship and February’s WSOP Circuit Main Event third-place finisher Jason Young took over the honors.

The Event 1 entry count slid right on past the 152 needed to make the $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and even more pushed it higher.  Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:20 pm and the prize pool will continue to climb.

Tony Ruberto was a recent entry and someone we don’t usually see until the major tournaments hit the schedule. The poker pro put his name on the WPT Champions Cup back in 2011 and earned his first WSOP Circuit ring in Hollywood during their 2017 series.

The first break is complete and we have a familiar face sitting with the biggest stack in the room. SHR regular Francis Margaglione more than 4x’d his 15,000 starting stack and returned to a pile worth 60,500. Not a bad start to his series.

While Margaglione has a half dozen tournament wins, most of them came at our sister property down in Hollywood. He came close to his first WSOP Circuit ring here last September when he finished second in the $400 Double Stack Turbo tournament.

SHR regular Nick Yunis was an early entrant this morning and shooting for his first WSOPC ring. He came real close in this tournament back in February but had to settle for an Event 1 runner-up finish for more than $13,000.
