Registration closed on today’s one-day WSOP Circuit ring event and the $600 Turbo tournament drew 69 entries trying for the top prize. They combined to create a prize pool worth $35,535 with the last seven players getting paid.

A min-cash earns $1,826 but they are all shooting for the $12,436 first place payout plus the WSOP Circuit ring.

One of the headline events of the Coconut Creek World Series of Poker Circuit is just about an hour away from kickoff. Event 9, the $2,200 High Roller, begins at 4pm and is expected to draw a tough field with big prizes up for grabs.

Players begin with 20,000 chips and are set to log 40-minute levels throughout. Day 1 wraps following Level 12 with Day 2 set to begin Friday at 2pm. Registration is open until the start of the restart and the final prize pool and payouts will be available at that time.

Event 7 — $600 Pot Limit Omaha Re-Entry — of the World Series of Poker Circuit at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek drew an intimate field of 59 entries ripe with Casino Championship points. Following Wednesday’s 18 levels of play, only six remain and they’re just in the money.

The second and final playing session is slated to start at 2pm and those still in are set to battle for $11,394 and a WSOP Circuit gold ring. Cory Blum leads the way with a massive stack of 455,000 chips. The next closest holdings of 248,000 belong to Jordan Dhanani.

With 64 players remaining and play on the bubble, Jaime Wiegrefe picked up 7s7d and went bust versus Don Gatlin’s AdKh. On a neighboring table, Matthew Zarcadoolas also went bust versus Ray Millard.

The $100,000 guaranteed multi-flight Monster Stack is queued up and ready to go for Day 2. Action resumes at 1pm with the 586-entry field narrowed to only 69 remaining. The top 63 are set to finish in the money putting a payday just six eliminations away.

There are a number of big stacks in action, but none bigger than Zack Milchman. Milchman turned his 30,000 starting chips into better than 800,000 and he leads the way by a margin.

The first of today’s four gold ring events is underway and it’s a $600 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Turbo tournament. Players begin with 20,000 chips and will log 20-minute levels throughout. Registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 13 and play is expected to conclude late tonight with the crowning of a gold ring champion.
