Eliezer Gonzalez

On the last hand of the day, Bryan Clark opened to 20,000 from under the gun, Kevin Johnson called on the button, and Eliezer Gonzalez moved all in from the small blind for 92,000. Arkadiy Tsinis folded his big blind and Johnson called after a short think.

Gonzalez: 4d4c
Johnson: 7d7c

Gonzalez was dominated and found no help on the Ks5c3s9sKc run out to exit in tenth place. This is the second big run for Gonzalez after he won Event 3 a couple days ago for his first WSOP Circuit ring.

The clock was paused and the nine remaining players will return on Tuesday at 2pm to play it down for the ring.

Matthew Zarcadoolas

Event 6 was playing fast and had only 14 players after the last break with 12 getting paid. It took most of Level 16 to get them there thanks to a money bubble slowdown.

After a half dozen rounds of hand-for-hand action, there was a four-way pot to a JhTd2h flop. An early position player moved all in for 48,000 and Matthew Zarcadoolas shipped all in for a slightly bigger stack from the button. Not to be left behind, the small blind player called both shoves for the three-way all-in.

Early Position: AdAc
Zarcadoolas: KhJc
Small Blind: Th8h

The aces were ahead for a triple up and the 4s turn changed nothing. The small blind was calling for a heart, Zarcadoolas asked for a jack, neither request was met. But Zarcadoolas did pick up the Kc river for two pair to top the rockets, nearly triple up, and put Event 6 into the money.
