Michael Newman

Michael Newman is a staunch supporter of Seminole poker series. He’s been a fixture here in Coconut Creek each of the last two days firing entries in Thursday’s one-day $50,000 guarantee and Friday’s flights in this $400 re-entry. Newman went bagless yesterday, but is having some better luck today. Flight C Level 8 is nearing its end while Newman’s stack is nearing 100,000.

Re-Entry Flight C: Back to Red Lobster for the Harwoods?

Flight C Entries: 410 (Total Entries: 1,072)

Loni Harwood

“Does she have more chips than me?” Scott Harwood asked of his sister Loni Harwood’s stack in Flight C.

At the time, she did not. But Loni’s poker resume easily exceeds her brother’s with more than $2,900,000 in earnings including two bracelets and five gold ring wins. One of those wins came during this series last year when Loni won Event 5, a $365 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry tournament, for $10,801. Back then, Scott was on the final table rail and suggested to his sister that if she won they could celebrate at Red Lobster. Loni went on to score the win and doubled down telling the WSOP, “We are going to Red Lobster.”

There’s been no confirmation as to whether the Red Lobster winner dinner occurred, but both Harwoods are in action in today’s Flight C and who knows where another win could take them.

Re-Entry Flight C: Devin Weinberg Best Following Break

Level 5: 100/200 with a 200 ante
Flight C Entries: 347 (Total Entries: 1,009)

Devin Weinberg

The combined field hit quadruple digits as the first break in Flight C of the $400 re-entry ring event concluded just moments ago. There are loads of chips in play with the clock showing nearly 350 entries in on the Saturday action and it’s Devin Weinberg that’s accumulated the most of them.

After starting the day with 15,000, Weinberg holds about 90,000. That’s good for a sextuple-up and has Weinberg at the top of the counts to start Level 5.

Re-Entry Flight C: Willie Wiggins Working through Another Big Field; Guarantee Gone

$400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 3: 75/150
Flight C Entries: 304 (Total Entries: 966)

Flight C is living up to its weekend reputation as the field recently crossed the 300-entry mark. That has the tournament at 966 combined entries and puts the prize pool at more than $318,000 and growing.

Willie Wiggins

One player with a resume that fits this big event well is Willie Wiggins. Just last month, Wiggins worked his way through a huge, 4,508-entry field in Hollywood’s Ultimate Re-Entry event. The run ended in a three-way chop, a second-place finish and a $176,120 return on his $360 investment.

With that event in his rearview, Wiggins has a touch smaller, but equally decorated, field to work through here in Coconut Creek.

Re-Entry Flight C: Level 2 with 200+ Entries

$400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 2: 50/100
Flight C Entries: 217 (Total Entries: 879)

The first level of play in Flight C of the $400 re-entry saw a huge influx of players take their seats after the starting bell. The first 30 minutes of action witnessed the field double in size and then some as the clock now shows 217 entries in the game. Registration and re-entry are available until about 5:30pm and the guarantee will be easily beat by then.

Those unable to get in the early game can head to the property for the fourth and final Flight D at 4pm.

Re-Entry Flight C: Another Go at the $400 Buy-in, $300K Guarantee

Level 1: 25/50

Saturday is here and so are Flight C and D of the World Series of Poker Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek re-entry event. C begins the play at 11am with a $400 buy-in and the $300,000 guarantee well in sight. As is, the field stands at 662 entries generating $218,460 toward the lofty $300,000 target. Just an additional 248 entries are needed to crack that figure and it should be bested fairly early here in Flight C.
