On the eve of the WSOP Circuit Main Event, The Pavilion hosted the High Roller as the last big preliminary event. The tournament drew 65 entries to cruise right past the $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and they are not done yet.

Day 1 came to an end after Level 12 and registration remains open until the start of Day 2 at 2pm. We should pick up a few more entries overnight and they will play down to a champion by the end of the evening.

Jeff Morzella will return with the chip lead amongst a talented group of 16 returning that includes former WSOP National Champion Jonathan Hilton, November Niners Jerry Wong and Josh Beckley, former SHRP Player of the Year Ory Hen, and reigning SHRP POY Brett Bader.

The 16 remaining players redrew seats for Day 2 and the tables will be consolidated once we know the final tally on the entry count.

The High Roller event rolled into the second level of its day and the $50,000 Guarantee is already a thing of the past. We have 33 entries in the game already pushing the prize pool up to $66,000 with plenty of time to run it up.

Some big names are in the game including current Casino Championship leader John Depersio (winner of Event 1) and Wally Madday going for his 100th career SHRP cash. Others in the game include Jerry Wong, Ian O’Hara, Jake Schwartz, Josh Beckley, former SHRP Player of the Year Ory Hen, and current SHRP Player of the Year Brett Bader.

One of the headline events of the Coconut Creek World Series of Poker Circuit is just about an hour away from kickoff. Event 9, the $2,200 High Roller, begins at 4pm and is expected to draw a tough field with big prizes up for grabs.

Players begin with 20,000 chips and are set to log 40-minute levels throughout. Day 1 wraps following Level 12 with Day 2 set to begin Friday at 2pm. Registration is open until the start of the restart and the final prize pool and payouts will be available at that time.

One of the most anticipated events of the 2018 World Series of Poker Circuit in Coconut Creek — the $2,200 buy-in High Roller event — begins tomorrow (Thursday) at 4pm. The High Roller boasts the largest buy-in of the series and has a $50,000 guarantee to go along with it.
