The 51-player starting field in Event 6 played to only five remaining following less than 13 levels. Leading the way is Event 1 champion David Albertson with 200,100. Less than a week ago, Albertson bested a 1,156-entry field in the series opener pocketing better than $25,000. He’s back in contention after bagging the chip advantage in the opening flight of Event 6 and hopes for another victory at the hands of a super-sized field.

Registration in the first of eight starting flights in Event 6 of the Coco Poker Showdown is closed. The opener, expected to be the smallest of the start days, drew an intimate field of 51 entries. They’ll play down to the final five before bagging and tagging set to return for Day 2 Saturday at noon.

One of the notable faces still in action belongs to Joseph Patalano. Patalano bagged a miniature, 2,000-chip stack in Flight A of the $100,000 guaranteed opener. While it didn’t seem like much at the time, it prepped him to earn the bonus payout after bagging the following day’s Flight D as well. Patalano is back at it here in Flight A of Event 6 and hopes to repeat the same feat.

Gracing the table right next door is Event 1 winner David Albertson.

The opening flight of Event 6 of the Coco Poker Showdown, a $350 no limit hold’em tournament with a $250,000 guarantee, is off and running. Players begin the tournament — one of the series’ premiere events — with 12,000 chips and will play 20-minute levels throughout Day 1. Late registration/unlimited re-entry is available until the start of Level 10.
