We kicked off our first RunGood series with a multi-flight tournament that was a huge success. The $250 Super Stack Event 1 field reached 376 entries and David Albertson took home $13,585 for the win along with the RunGood ring.

The turnout more than tripled the $25,000 guarantee to put $77,080 in the prize pool. We had 49 players survivor their opening flight and enter Day 2 already in the money.

Lisa Teebagy returned for Day 2 with the chip lead and stayed at the top of the counts for most of the day as the field dropped towards the final table. She was still up top when the last nine players gathered as one and it looked like she was going to roll over the table wielding her massive stack.

Meanwhile, Albertson was steadily sticking around the top of the counts until they were three-handed. Mark Cannon ran his tens into the aces of Albertson for a huge pot, catapulting him into the lead, and they quickly agreed to divide up the remaining prize pool down the middle.

Teebagy earned $13,584 for the runner-up finish while Albertson took home his $13,585 top prize along with the shiny RunGood ring.

No other hands were dealt after Mark Cannon was eliminated in third place. David Albertson and Lisa Teebagy quickly agreed to chop the remaining prize pool right down the middle. Albertson took the lead on the last hand and that earned him the Event 1 title.

Lisa Teebagy folded her button and Mark Cannon moved all in for ~990,000. David Albertson snapped a call in the big blind for a good reason.

Albertson woke up with a monster at the three-handed final table and Cannon was in bad shape. It got even worse when Albertson flopped a set on the board. It finished turn and river to send Cannon out in third place for $7,194.

Stephen Smith limped his small blind, David Albertson announced all-in from the big, and Smith called at risk for about 925,000.

“980!” Eric Piderit said when action was on him in the cutoff. His all-in wager was for 980,000 and it made Lisa Teebagy sit up in the small blind. She checked Mark Cannon’s stack in the big blind before announcing all-in herself.

“Guys, I’m gonna need help!” Piderit told his rail.

It was a huge race for a lot of chips and Piderit missed the flop. The turn gave Teebagy a set of nines and Piderit was drawing dead to the river.

Action folded to Eric Piderit on the button and he moved all in for 590,000. David Albertson folded his small blind and John Holley called at risk in the big blind for 490,000.

Holley had two live cards to double up but Piderit made aces up on the board to send the six-time WSOP Circuit winner out in sixth place.

Lisa Teebagy opened to 100,000 from the button and Mark Cannon came along from the small blind to see the flop. He moved all in for 315,000 and Teebagy called.

Cannon was ahead and needed to dodge spades or some weird runner situation. Teebagy paired her queen on the turn but Cannon had his double after the river.

Lisa Teebagy was very active with her big stack and open-shipped after it folded to her. Brandon Schwartz woke up with a big hand and easily called for 550,000 holding .

Teebagy was dominated with and Schwartz was safe until the hit the river for the unlucky end to his day.

Eric Piderit moved all in from middle position for 265,000 and John Holley called from the hijack. The rest of the table folded and they flipped up their cards.

It was a flip that Piderit needed to win to stay in the game.

“I got two overs!” Piderit called to his friends.

The board ran out and both players had two pair jacks and sevens. Piderit’s queen kicker played and he doubled up.

“Don’t put that in the blog,” Piderit asked. “I’ll never hear the end of it.”

Two hands after Mark Lafata was eliminated, action folded all the way around to chip leader Lisa Teebagy in the small blind and she moved all in. Pedro Palacio was in the big and called for about 350,000.

Palacio had against Teebagy’s , flopped two diamonds but could not come back. He was sent out in eighth place while Teebagy added to her stack.
