Kammar Andries

With Justin Harvell and Joseph Biegler already in the pot, Kammar Andries moved all in for 640,000. Biegler and Harvell called and checked it down until the board read Ah6c2c5hJh.

Biegler checked again, Harvell tossed out 600,000 and Biegler quickly mucked.

Harvell tabled a rivered set with JcJd and Andries was not happy when he tabled his QhQd.

Justin Harvell – 5,100,000 (85 bb)
Joseph Biegler – 2,600,000 (43 bb)
Kammar Andries – Eliminated in 4th place ($11,619)

Bryce McVay

It took two big hands to send Bryce McVay from sitting among the leaders to out in fourth place.

First, it was Rodney Moret-Rojas putting his last 1,200,000 in the middle with Ax6x against McVay’s AxKx and the rivered six sent McVay down to 550,000.

Two hands later, Moret-Rojas limped from under the gun and McVay moved all in from the big blind for 525,000 total. Moret-Rojas called and McVay was in good shape again.

McVay: KhQs
Moret-Rojas: KsJs

McVay was dominating and improved on the Qd4d3s flop. Moret-Rojas added a gutshot Broadway draw on the Td turn and the unlikely beat finished on the Ac river to send McVay out in fifth place.

This was McVay’s third final table appearance of the series and good enough to move him into the lead in the Casino Champion race.

Rodney Moret-Rojas – 3,450,000 (69 bb)
Bryce McVay – Eliminated in 5th place ($8,738)

Justin Harvell moved to the top of the leaderboard after two big hands. First against Bryce McVay when his JhTd was good on the Jc4c2sJdTc board for a big pot.

Soon after, he was heads up with chip leader Rodney Moret-Rojas with the board reading JhJs6s3s and Harvell checked. Moret-Rojas bet 325,000 and Harvell check-raised all in for 970 on top.

Moret-Rojas thought for a minute and called.

Harvell: Ks8s
Moret-Rojas: Ad6c

Harvell was far ahead with his second-nut flush against Moret-Rojas’ jacks up. Harvell dodged a full house on the Ah river for the big double.

Justin Harvell – 3,300,000 (66 bb)
Rodney Moret-Rojas – 1,100,000 (22 bb)

Aaron Miles made a double against Bryce McVay and they mixed it up again. Miles opened to 120,000 from the small blind and McVay called from the big blind to the AdTs5d flop.

Miles: KhTh
McVay: AcQh

Miles was behind with second pair against McVay’s top pair and the 6c river ended Miles short-lived comeback.

He three-bet shoved for 455,000 from the cutoff after a Justin Harvell open. Bryce McVay called on the button after a short think and Justin Harvell inquired about McVay’s stack before releasing his hand.

Miles: AsTc
McVay: AhQd

Miles was dominated and looking at an exit but the Td7h4d flop put him in the lead. He asked the dealer for a hold and he survived the 6c turn and Kc river to double.

Aaron Miles – 1,100,000 (28 bb)
Bryce McVay – 1,420,000 (36 bb)

Matthew Yorra

The surprisingly quick pace at the final table continued. After Michael Kopanski was eliminated in ninth place, Jeff Bohanek followed in eighth with Michael Yorra getting his chips in the middle soon after.

The Day 2 starting chip leader was all in with KxQx but Justin Harvell’s Ax4x was best in the end.

It was a rough day for Yorra who began the day with a huge lead. A series of bad beats pulled his stack down until he hit the final table in the middle of the pack. The SHR Poker regular was unable to bounce back and went out in seventh place for $5,157.
