It took two big hands to send Bryce McVay from sitting among the leaders to out in fourth place.

First, it was Rodney Moret-Rojas putting his last 1,200,000 in the middle with against McVay’s and the rivered six sent McVay down to 550,000.

Two hands later, Moret-Rojas limped from under the gun and McVay moved all in from the big blind for 525,000 total. Moret-Rojas called and McVay was in good shape again.

McVay was dominating and improved on the flop. Moret-Rojas added a gutshot Broadway draw on the turn and the unlikely beat finished on the river to send McVay out in fifth place.

This was McVay’s third final table appearance of the series and good enough to move him into the lead in the Casino Champion race.
