Event 6B: Re-Entries with Some Better Luck in Flight B

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 6: 300/600 with a 75 ante
Flight B Entries: 64 | Combined Entries: 98

Flight A was chocked full of re-entries with a final tally of 34 total entries. Among those to fire early in the 11am opener and come up dry were Evan Teitelbaum and Nachman Berlin.

Evan Teitelbaum

For Teitelbaum, the road to Flight B included at least two bullets in Flight A. He’s chipped up from the 16,000-chip starting stack and sits at about 25,000 midway through Level 6.

Teitelbaum is an accomplished tournament player owning multiple titles and nearly $700,000 in earnings.

Nachman Berlin

Berlin has enjoyed some success in Flight B turning his starting holdings into about 45,000 over the first few hours. Like Teitelbaum, Berlin boasts six figure in career earnings highlighted by a $419,173 score in a 2011 $1,500 World Series of Poker bracelet event.

Event 6B: Sig Leads Following First Break

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 5: 200/400 with a 50 ante
Flight B Entries: 52 | Combined Entries: 86

Level 5 is here and the first break has officially come to a close. The field has grown steadily over the first four levels and currently sits at 52 entries bringing the two-flight total to 86.

Gunty Sig

Leading the way after busting Miguel Martinez and then scooping a nice side pot is Gunty Sig. Sig claims 52,000 chips meaning he’s more than tripled in the first few levels.

Late registration and re-entry are available until about 9:15pm. The final attendance figure will be provided shortly thereafter.

Event 6B: Officially Larger than Flight A

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 100/200
Flight B Entries: 35 | Combined Entries: 79

With the 35th entry, Flight B of the Coco Poker Showdown $350 has surpassed its Flight A predecessor in terms of attendance. Late registration and re-entry are available until about 9:15pm. As is, the combined field stands at 69 entries which has the prize pool well short of the $35,000 guarantee.

Among those in the early action are South Florida Pro Sean Shah, Flight A bustout Gregory Kolo, Lucky Hearts Poker Open $360 big stack champion Carlos Loving and 2016 Coco Poker Open $360 heads up winner Elliott Zaydman.

Event 6B: One More Shot in the $35,000 Guarantee

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 50/100

The second starting flight in Event 6 of the Coco Poker Showdown — a $350 no limit hold’em re-entry tournament — is underway. Today’s 11am kickoff drew a field of 34 entries generating just over $10,000 worth of the event’s $35,000 prize pool. Following about 11 levels of play, five advanced with Tim Kegel’s 216,000-chip stack leading the way.

Flight A Chip Counts

As they did this morning, players in the 6pm Flight B take their seats to 16,000 chips and log 30-minute levels throughout. Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 7 with play concluding at 12 percent of the starting field rounding up.

In order to meet the guarantee, Flight B needs to draw a total of 83 entries.

Event 6A: Magnetta Eliminated Leaving Final Five in the Money

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 1,000/2,000 with a 200 ante
Players Remaining: 5 of 34

John Magnetta hit the rail courtesy of chip leader Tim Kegel. With the bustout, the field narrowed to five remaining players — 12 percent of the starting field — and they’re in the process of bagging now. Those still in are set to join tonight’s Flight B advancers for Day 2 tomorrow at 12pm. All players who advance are in the money.

Chip counts will be posted shortly.

Event 6A: Kolodny Eliminates Pearlman; Seven Remain

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 800/1,600 with a 200 ante
Players Remaining: 7 of 34

Daniel Pearlman’s A-10 couldn’t outdraw Eric Kolodny’s A-J all-in preflop.

Daniel Pearlman got about 15,000 in preflop with JhTh against the AcJd of Eric Kolodny. The runout fell Qd5s3c4hQh and Kolodny’s ace-high was best. Pearlman was eliminated leaving just seven players remaining. Kolodny raked the pot and grew his stack to about 50,000.

Event 6A: Nine Remain; Kegel the Envy of the Final Table

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 800/1,600 with a 200 ante
Players Remaining: 9 of 34

From 34 starting, just nine players remain in Flight A of the Coco Poker Showdown $350.

Tim Kegel (right) and Neil Blumenfield

As has been the case much of the event, Tim Kegel leads the action now with well over 200,000 chips. With a stack like Kegel’s it’s no surprise others at the table want to claim it as their own. During a recent photo opportunity, 2015 November Niner Neil Blumenfield leaned over and photo-bombed Kegel. Blumenfield owns well over $3,00,000 in career earnings but he’s well behind Kegel in chips currently owning about 50,000.

Others still in at the final table include Marc Levy, Daniel Pearlman and John Magnetta.

Play is scheduled to conclude when five players remain.

Level 7: 400/800 with a 100 ante

Two nine-handed tables remain in action in the Coco Poker Showdown $350

Level 7 is here and registration closed just moments ago in the Coco Poker Showdown $350 buy-in, $35,000 guarantee. With the late additions of Daniel Pearlman and Lucky Hearts Poker Open Main Event fourth-place finisher Marc Levy, the field grew to 34 entries. That accounts for just over $10,000 of the five-figure guarantee and is a good start with tonight’s 6pm flight still to come.

Per the structure sheet, the Flight A will conclude when 12 percent of the starting field — five players — remains. They’ll bag and tag set to return for Day 2 tomorrow at 12pm. All advancing players are in the money.

Details:

Flight A – Registration closed with 34 entries
Flight B – Tonight at 6pm
Day 2 – Tomorrow at 12pm

Among those still alive in Flight A are Levy, Pearlman, Tim Kegel, John Magnetta, Neil Blumenfield and Nachman Berlin. Daniel Genachte, Miguel Martinez, Greg Kolo and others, meanwhile, have been eliminated.
