Level 9: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 25 of 66

With nearly two-thirds of the field on the rail, there’s still plenty of notables left in the Flight B field. Here’s a look at some of those we’re keeping an eye on:

Nachman Berlin
Elliott Zaydman
Greg Kolo

In addition to the above, Carlos Loving, Howard Mash, Sean Shah and Gunty Sig are still in. Each of these players eyes a Day 2 berth where they’ll join the likes of chip leader Tim Kegel and 2015 November Niner Neil Blumenfield for a shot at the tournament’s $35,000 prize pool.

Flight A Chip Counts

Event 6: Payouts Available Tomorrow Before Restart

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

All Day 2 players in the Coco Poker Showdown $350 will be in the money. A total of five advanced from Flight A and eight are expected to advance from Flight B. Due to the possibility of a double elimination to end the night, complete payouts will not be released until prior to the restart. What we can tell you is the prize pool sits at $35,000 and that will be divvied out to each of tomorrow’s players with the lion’s share going to the winner.

Event 6B: Loving Hanging Around

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 25 of 66

Carlos Loving

Carlos Loving raised to 9,000 from late position leaving himself just about 2,500 behind. The big blind flatted and the pair saw a flop of AhQc7d. The big blind checked and Loving bet 1,000. The big blind called.

The turn fell the 3s. The big blind checked again. Loving clumped his last 1,500 into one hand, raised it off the table, then checked behind.

The river Jd elicited another check out of each player. The big blind flipped over 9s9d and Loving mucked. With just 1,500 chips, he claimed less than two big blinds. However, a few hands later he was spotted back over 10,000 chips.

Loving, a Florida resident, is fresh off a tournament victory at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. During today’s early morning hours — about 2am to be specific — Loving bested 87 entries in the Lucky Hearts Poker Open $360 earning $9,135. He’s back in action here in Coconut Creek and looking for another cash.

Carlos Loving – 12,500

Event 6B: Shah Folds to Mash

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 29 of 66

Sean Shah (left) checks the river to Howard Mash

There was an early position raise to 2,500. Sean Shah came along from the small blind while Howard Mash defended his big. They were three ways.

Flop: Kh4c2h

All players checked.

Turn: Kh4c2h7h

Shah checked a second time. Mash bet 3,900. The original raiser folded. Action was back on Shah and he called throwing out three orange 4,000 chips and getting some change.

River: Kh4c2h7h3c

Shah checked a third time. Mash bet 6,600. Shah thought for a second, then folded. Mash took the pot.

Howard Mash – 40,000
Sean Shah – 61,000

Event 6B: 66 Entries Bring Total to an Even 100

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 6: 300/600 with a 75 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 40 of 66

Registration in Flight B is closed with 66 entries. That brings the two-flight total and complete field size to an even 100. With that, the prize pool sits pat at $35,000 all of which is scheduled to be doled out to the Day 2 participants.

The Flight B clock shows 40 players remaining. Per the structure, they’ll play down to 12 percent of the field rounding up — eight players — before bagging. Those still in join the five advancers from today’s Flight A for Day 2 tomorrow at 12pm.

Breakdown:

Flight A – 34 entries, 5 advanced
Flight B – 66 entries, 8 scheduled to advanced
Day 2 – Tomorrow at 12pm (all 13 returners are in the money)

Complete Day 2 chip counts with seat assignments will be posted well prior to the restart.
