Level 1: 25/50
Flight E Players: 47

Seminole Coconut Creek Chips

Event 13 has put five flights in the books and the last one is ready to go. The first five starting runs drew a combined 540 entrants and the tournament needs a nice showing tonight to reach the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.

This should be the biggest session of the six and we’ll be monitoring the approach to the guarantee.

The $350 buy-in tournament gives each entrant a 16,000 starting stack and they’ll play 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 around 10:30pm and they’ll continue to play until only 9% of the field remains. Those players still around will bag up their chips and return tomorrow at 1pm for Day 2.

The tournament is about to get underway and we’ll be tracking until the entire Day 2 roster is set.

Josh Beckley
Josh Beckley

Last year’s World Series of Poker Main Event runner up Josh Beckley has been eliminated from Flight E of the Coco Poker Open $350. He late registered during Level 8 and hung around for a few hours without ever getting much going. He was down to his last few thousand chips when he busted about 10 minutes ago.

Beckley made his Coco Poker Open debut during last night’s Flight D and it’s likely we’ll see him again for tonight’s sixth and final starting day.

Zoltan Czinkota
Zoltan Czinkota

Never one to shy away from a re-entry, Zoltan Czinkota is a regular on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker felt. He’s based in South Florida, but can often be found at each of the four Seminole properties which host tournament festivals — Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and Tampa, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee. He’s coming off a great year of poker that saw him place 3rd in the 2016 Player of the Year race. Czinkota earned a package worth $12,000 and there’s no doubt he’ll parlay that into some more entries into this year’s events.

While the $350 at the Coco Poker Open isn’t included in that package, it’s no surprise to see Czinkota among the field. He’s not on his first entry, but he’s finding some success nonetheless. He’s turned his most recent buy-in into more than 100,000 chips and is towards the top of the counts midway through Level 10.

Zoltan Czinkota – 115,000

Sheddy Siddiqui
Sheddy Siddiqui

Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Sheddy Siddiqui took a shot during  yesterday’s 11am and 6pm flights, but busted shy of a Day 2 berth. He’s now in the midst of his third entry and among the early field here in Flight E.

The South Florida pro placed 6th in a Seminole Casino Coconut Creek $350 in April of last year. With a strong field of 1,039 entries, he earned just south of $18,000 for the deep run and final table appearance.

Event 13 Flight E: Shawn Lytle Looks to Improve

$350 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed
Level 3: 75/150
Flight E Players: 96

The Event 13 structure sheet follows the “best stack forward” format. That means, players who bag are permitted to play subsequent flights and assume their largest stack on Day 2. Additionally, players who qualify for Day 2 multiple times will earn a min-cash for each time they bag after their first.

Shawn Lytle

Traveling tournament supervisor Shawn Lytle is among those who bagged in an early flight. He’s back today for Flight E and eyes a second bag. After advancing 59,500 chips, he looks to improve his holding but is off to a tough start with just a few thousand chips remaining from 16,000 starting.
