South Florida regular adds to long track record of Omaha hi/low success.

Claudangelo Beaudouin kicked off the 2016 Coco Poker Open in style Wednesday night winning the series opening event, a $240 Omaha hi/low tournament. Beaudouin dominated nearly every stage of the tournament, masterfully made his way through its 62-entry field and nabbed a $3,100 top prize following a five-way chop.

The impressive performance didn’t come as all that much of a surprise for Beaudouin. His victory Monday night marked his second Omaha hi/low final table appearance at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek this year. His first came in the form of a runner-up finish during January’s Coco Poker Showdown. That tournament was won by eventual Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year David Prociak. Additionally, Beaudouin won this very event in 2014.

Event 1 began at 12pm and marked the first of 15 primary events during the Coco Poker Open. The series runs through October 2 with the $1,000,000 guaranteed Championship headlining the schedule beginning this Friday, September 23. In addition to a six-figure prize, the winner of that event earns an added seat into next year’s $5,250 buy-in Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship as well as a bundle of points toward the new SHRP Player of the Year race.

Assuming he pulls up a chair, Beaudouin will take a head of steam into the Championship coming off runner-up and two 1st-place finishes in the last two year Seminole Casino Coconut Creek series.
