Evan Teitelbaum

Evan Teitelbaum was under the gun facing a three-bet from an unknown player in the big blind. Teitelbaum four-bet sending the action back to the big blind. The big blind tanked, eventually getting the clock called. Tournament Director Charlie Ciresi was summoned over and began the countdown. Before it hit zero, the big blind jammed and Teitelbaum snapped — aces versus kings.

Teitelbaum: AsAc
Big blind: KsKh

The big blind was covered and in a world of hurt, but the Kd fell in the window improving him to trips. It got even better when it was joined by the Kc improving him to quads. The third card on the flop was the Ah giving Teitelbaum a full house, but leaving him to one out.

The turn fell hard — the Ad — as the table and bystanders erupted. Teitelbaym hit the one-outer, quads.

The river fell a meaningless 4s and Teitelbaum was left to stack roughly 95,000 chips while the big blind hit the rail in a whirlwind hand.

Reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year, Jason Young

Jason Young is reaping the rewards of a hot January and February that saw a WPTDeepStacks Hollywood Main Event win and a WSOP Circuit Coconut Creek Main Event 3rd-place finish. The to pplay catapulted Young into the Player of the Year lead and he remained there through the rest of the season officially earning the title following the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship.

As the POY, Young earned entries in all Main Events and Championship for this season starting with this WSOP Circtuit finale. He redeemed his free entry yesterday, but ultimately found the felt.

Young is back in action today on a paid entry hoping to again start hot with another POY package up for grabs this season.

The Day 1A field dropped down to 11 tables shortly after registration closed to drop them into double digits. They should cut the field down to 60 before the end of Level 15 and the end of day.

TK Miles looks like the current frontrunner with 267,000 and not many near him at the moment. Miles already owns two WSOP Circuit rings plus a Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open Championship.
