We have two bigger stacks in the room and Jeff Blenkarn is leading the way with 255,000 while Ian O’Hara is making another big run with 215,000.

Blenkarn is a Michigan grinder in town for the WSOP Circuit Coco series and his Monster Stack is starting off well. He has over $800,000 in career earnings with a nice chunk of that coming from a near WSOP win. Blenkarn finished second out of 2,575 players in a $1,000 buy-in event for more than $250,000 to just miss out on the WSOP bracelet.

The numbers are in and the Monster Stack drew 586 entries over two flights to nearly double the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. They have $193,380 up for grabs with the last 63 spots being paid early on Thursday.

A min-cash is worth $632, the five players will earn a five-digit payday, and the winner will walk away with $40,619 plus the WSOP Circuit ring.

David Bradshaw placed third in last Year’s Player of the Race and enjoyed a season’s worth of some free entries and comp dollars. With his reign expired, Bradshaw is back on the Seminole grind looking for some more deep runs and the accolades that follow.

He recently was on the button in a limped pot and eventually got all the money in on the turn. The board was and both Bradshaw and his opponent tabled a nine — for the opponent, for Bradshaw. Both with straights, they split the pot and carded only a small win from some of the other money in the middle.

The only non-hold’em event of the World Series of Poker Circuit in South Florida is underway. Event 7 is a $600 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha tournament with $15,000 guaranteed. The tournament sees players begin with 20,000 chips and they’re going to log 30- and 45-minute levels. Registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 13 with Day 1 play wrapping during the early morning hours of Thursday.

Mike Laake was in position in a heads-up pot. The board was complete and laid . It checked to Laake and he bet 7,000. The opponent spent some time in the tank before finding a call. Laake flipped over and the opponent reluctantly flashed .

Laake’s flush was best and he took a decent-sized pot growing his stack.

The defending champion of the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event is in the house. Last February, Kammar Andries defeated 827 entries winning a Circuit ring and more than $241,000 in the process. He’s in action in the Monster Stack playing against a decidedly smaller field for less money, but a tournament is a tournament and he’s grinded his way to a good stack late in Level 7.

Last year’s September series took place at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood and both of its standouts — the Casino Champion and Main Event champion — are in the game this Wednesday in Coconut Creek.
