Ido Ashkenazi

The first break concluded a few moments ago and we were able to get a better look at the way the field’s played out. The clock shows 76 entries jockeying for a ring and it appears to be Ido Ashkenazi that’s tops. Following four full levels of play, the South Florida Seminole regular has amassed about 70,000 chips and is one of the biggest stacks in the room.

David DiBernardi

Regardless if he ever played another tournament during this series, David DiBernardi’s Coconut Creek WSOP Circuit has already been a massive success. The Ohio-born, Florida-residing pro just two days ago came out on top of a field of 1,607 entries. It was a $400 re-entry tournament and DiBernardi’s winner share of the $530,310 prize pool was $88,842 along with a gold ring.

Not one to rest on his laurels following the biggest score of his career, DiBernardi is back in the action in this $600 six-max. In addition to more loot, DiBernardi is in search of Casino Championship points — a race he sits third in through the completion of five events.
