Chip Reed

Flight C players didn’t sit back and wait for the end of day, they lit off some big hands as the clock counted down.

One saw Chip Reed get his chips in the middle with Ah6h after the 7h4h2d flop against an inferior flush draw Kh7h and top flopped pair Td7s. He didn’t have to wait long for his heart when the dealer put out the 3h turn to lock up the hand. He stacked up a nice Day 2 castle and sent two players out.

On the last hand of the night, Event 1 final table member Danny Calway-Fagen was involved with a three-way all-in pot. It was anticlimactic for him and one opponent, they each had aces while the other player hit the rail with her pocket nines while they chopped the pot.

Play is wrapping up for the flight and we will check the counts when they are official.

Level 12: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante

In a heads-up pot, the board laid 7c3d2s3hKs. Danny Calway-Fagen was out of position and facing an all-in bet of about 30,000 from an unknown opponent. There was already a pile of gray 5,000 chips in the middle and Calway-Fagen had a decision on his hands. After a couple minutes, an opponent called “Clock,” and Calway-Fagen was pushed into a call. The hands were put face up.

Calway-Fagen: TsTh for tens-up
Opponent: AcQc for ace-king high

Calway-Fagen’s call was right and he stacked a huge pot to take the chip lead in Flight C.

Nagui Yassa

Nagui Yassa earned Casino Champion honors during the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood World Series of Poker Circuit following four cashes including two final table appearances. For his effort, Yassa earned a free entry in the season-ending Global Casino Championship where he’ll compete for his share of an at-least $1,000,000 prize pool and a gold bracelet.

As a surprise to no one, Yassa, a South Florida local, is on site at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and in the game here in Flight C. It’s been a solid start for Yassa as he claims about 55,000 chips with the field trimming rapidly. From 518 starters, just 140 remain.
