Loni Hui

The Main Event Flight A field continues to grow, hitting 125 before Level 7, and we have had some tough spots hitting the tables since the first break.

Loni Hui has two WSOP bracelets (along with five WSOP Circuit rings), Bill Gazes is old-school poker with $2.4 million in live poker earnings, and Nadya Magnus is the reigning GPI Female Player of the Year.

Juan Endara

The first break is done and players are back in their seats for four more 30-minute levels. They will go up to 40 minutes after the next break and stay that way until the end.

Juan Endara came back to the biggest stack with 83,600 out front. He’s coming off a big trip to Hollywood last month when he finished second out of 4,259 entries in their Poker Showdown $600 Deep Stack for a very nice $273K pay day.

Top stacks at break:

Juan Endara – 83,600 (209 bb)
Lucilo Colon – 75,600 (189 bb)
Andy Kaplan – 74,600 (187 bb)
David Nathaniel – 74,200 (186 bb)
Zach Mullennix – 68,400 (171 bb)
Kyle Kranz – 67,700 (169 bb)

Anthony Astarita

Players are getting ready for their first break of the day not long after the entry count hit a cool 100. We’ll have $100,000 towards the $200,000 guarantee in no time and can start thinking bigger.

Two recent entries know something about winning big tournaments. Anthony Astarita won the first-ever WPTDeepStacks Tampa Main Event in 2016 and took home more than $131,000. Zach Mullennix won the first of his three WSOP Circuit rings right here when he captured the $600 NLH title in 2019.

Flight A of the RunGood Main Event is nearing 100 entries and very close to hitting the halfway point of the $200,000 guarantee with a ton of time to set a big mark.

More friendly faces in today’s early action include the voice of PokerGO Jeff Platt, Juan Endara, James Salmon, Haim Toorgeman, and Skip McDonough.

David Nathaniel

We caught the end of a big hand, missed the action, but saw the results. David Nathaniel doubled huge at the start of his day and sits with 89,000. His big stack came at the expense of Bernardo Abramovich.

He was down to dust and got his chips in the middle against Mark Cannon and another opponent. The board ran out AsTc9c7hJd, Cannon showed Jc8d for a jack-high straight to beat the Ac9d of Abramovich and Jc3c of his other opponent.

Kevin Dubrocq, RunGood Ambassador Bounty champ

The last warmup before the RunGood Main Event was a fun tournament on Wednesday evening. The $150 RunGood Ambassador Bounty packed the Poker Room with 336 entries and Kevin Dubrocq took the title for $5,857 after a five-way deal at the final table.

The tournament had a $20,000 guarantee and the huge crowd more than doubled that amount to put $40,320 up for grabs. But other incentives were available if anyone knocked out one of the 10 RunGood Ambassadors; ranging from a $50 RunGood gift card to a $200 NYY Steak gift certificate to straight $1,000 in cash.

The tournament was a lot of fun and our players had a great time throughout the evening. They reached the final table late in the evening and the last five players chopped up the remaining prize pool with Dubrocq taking the biggest piece, the Event 5 title, and the RunGood trophy.
