"I need a win" – Seth Berger assumes chip lead in Event 1

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Most people would be happy with a 2nd and 3rd place finish at World Series of Poker events. Most people would be happy with over 600K in winnings as a result of those finishes. Not Seth Berger. The 23 year old poker professional from Long Island, New York is looking for more. “I need a win,” he said, as he counted out his tournament leading chip stack of 299,500. Berger is here visiting a friend and plans on playing in the WPT Championship Event later next week. If he keeps up this good run, he’ll be freerolling.

A total of 41 players made it through to return tomorrow giving us a total of 143 players that will try to make it into the money. Only 63 get paid so 80 more players will have to fall by the wayside before that dream becomes a reality. Here are the chip counts for those from Day 1E who survived. We will post full chip counts shortly and Day 2 seating assignments will be posted at approximately 10-11 am.
