It was the last Semifinal to start but the first to finish. Howard Mash and Frank Giordano took turns with the lead until Mash grabbed it for good in a big all-in hand.

Mash was behind 44,000 to 56,000 when Giordano moved all-in with after the flop and Mash called with the nutflush/wheel draw . Ace-high was winning for Mash, the turn did not help Giordano, and Mash paired the river for good measure.

Giordano lasted a few more hands but shipped his straight into Mash’s kings to end the match.

This is the second straight Heads Up Finals appearance for Mash and he’s looking for back-to-back titles.
