Allen “Detroit Al” Green, seeing Michael Moed with a lot of momentum, takes a deal heads up and settles for second place.  Green gets an extra $500 for a $3,000 pay day, but gives up the trophy in the process.

“Coming in second, I don’t feel bad,” says Green, who finishes runner-up for the third time in his career. Green feels fortunate for a deep run after returning for Day 2 with a below average stack, but is still looking for his first win in live recorded tournament results.

“I’ve never been to Detroit in my life,” says Green about the nickname he got for his hair cut style that was popular in the 1950’s. “They called me Detroit Al, and it stuck.”
