$560 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack (Re-Entry)
Blinds: 8k/16k/2k ante
The clock was ticking down to the 1-hour dinner break when Michael Goldfarb and Chris Bolek tangled up.
Bolek opened to 35,000 from under the gun, a pretty standard move from the leader, and Goldfarb came along from the small blind. They both checked down the flop and Goldfarb checked once again after the
turn.
Bolek responded by putting Goldfarb all-in and he went deep in the tank. He tried to get a read off Bolek by telling him he had eight outs, never getting a reaction from his opponent.
As the clock ticked over into the dinner break, Goldfarb send “let’s gamble” and turned over for the open-ended straight draw versus Bolek’s
.
The dinner-break gamble didn’t pay off when the river came to send Goldfarb out in 7th place for $2,401 while Bolek moved over 800,000.
