Event 13 was the last new event on the World Series of Poker Circuit schedule and the one-day turbo moved at a steady clip. The final table featured some talented local players including David Bradshaw, Carlos Loving, and Monster Stack final table member Aaron Miles. Mike Russ outlasted them all to earn his second WSOP Circuit ring along with $9,542.

Russ is making a habit of winning last chance WSOP Circuit rings. He won the final event of the Hollywood WSOP Circuit series this past October and that fact didn’t get past Russ either.

“I think this is my event,” he laughed.

The tournament drew 106 entries to create a prize pool worth $31,800 and a fine way to close out the series. The last 12 players earned some money and it played down to the final table after six hours. Gregory Cambareri and Steven Bennett made it into the money but missed out on the final table.

Russ defeated SHRP regular Bradshaw heads-up for the title after a long battle. Both players worked hard to take home the WSOP Circuit ring but it was Russ adding one to put on another finger.
