Championship Day 2: Merging the Field

$2,500 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event
Blinds: 600/1.2k/200 ante

Day 2 of the 2014 Coco Poker Open Championship Event is upon us and the entire field will be in the same room for the first time. The tournament drew 419 entrants across three starting flights and 120 players survived to make Day 2.

Only 45 of those players will earn a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool with a min-cash earning $3,000 and the winner taking home $264,000 some time tomorrow. It will be a long process getting down to the money bubble as the average stack is nearly 60 big blinds deep at the start of the day.

Tim Miles is the leader when they resume play with Preecha Taepakdee not far behind. Other notables returning today include Jason Mercier, Matt Waxman, Dan Suied, John Dolan, Nancy Birnbaum, Mukul Pahuja, Brian Hastings, Darryll Fish, and Noah Schwartz.

Players are taking their seats and unbagging their stacks, tournament staff will pass along the daily devotional of rules before kicking off Day 2.
