One of the entrants today is a local favorite and hosts a regular tournament in the Stax Poker Lounge. Andy Slater is playing the third flight of the Championship and has been having a good day so far, increasing his starting stack to 27,600 at the dinner break.

Slater is man behind the aptly titled The Andy Slater Show on 940-AM in South Florida talking about all things sports. He’s a popular radio host and enjoys the game of poker, showing his love of the game by also hosting a monthly poker tournament.

The Andy Slater “See You Later” Poker Tournament runs on the second Tuesday of each month with a $94 buy-in, three bounties into the next month’s tournament, and a sweet $200 knockout bounty on the host himself.
