The Event 4 runner-up (and Hollywood WSOPC winner) is in good position for another deep run.

Level 21: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante

Francis Margaglione

Two of the bigger stacks mixed it up and we have a lead change. With the board reading Kh3d3sQh, Michael Foley checked from the small blind and Francis Margaglione bet 125,000. Foley thought for a moment and called.

Foley switched gears and bet 125,000 after the Jh and Margaglione called

Margaglione: 3c2c
Foley: AcKc

Margaglione’s flopped trip threes were best and the big pot was good enough to ship the lead across the table.

“I’m glad I slowed down,” Foley said. “That took a dent out.”

Francis Margaglione – 940,000 (94 bb)
Michael Foley – 785,000 (79 bb)

Michael Foley

After returning from break with one of the big stacks, Joelle Guarino’s table broke and her luck changed. She hit some speedbumps and ended up going bust at the hand of Richard Whitebrook when she got aggressive wish sixes versus Whitebrook kings.

At the same table, meanwhile, Michael Foley has had some great fortune. His stack sits at about 890,000 and he’s the chip leader with under 50 players remaining.
