Dani Dayan

Dani Dayan, who closed out 2017 strong with a win and final table appearance during Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Fun in the Sun Poker Open, is building a stack here in the WSOP Circuit opener. With registration closed, she’s accumulated just about 70,000 chips and enjoys 140 big blinds to work with.

The clock shows only 120 remaining from 318 starting and only the top 33 are set to finish in the money. The tournament’s one-hour dinner break kicks in at 5:30pm.

Event 1: McVay and Aboodi Looking for Titles at a Third Seminole Property

Bryce McVay

Bryce McVay and Gil Aboodi are regulars at any major Seminole series. McVay resides on the west side of the state in Tampa while Aboodi is local to Hollywood. The pair each owns a victory at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and in Hollywood.

Aboodi most recently laid claim to a guitar trophy during Tampa’s Winter Poker Open, scoring more than $71,000 following a four-way chop in the $570. McVay, meanwhile, scored his most recent win in June of 2017 also in Tampa. It was during the property’s WPTDeepStacks series that he took first in a $250 Turbo for more than $12,000.

Gil Aboodi

McVay and Aboodi are both in attendance today in the WSOP Circuit opener, and they hope to add a third Seminole property to their list of title locations in this one-day ring event.

Elliot Bradley

Elliot Bradley put a hurt on the first four levels of the day and he leads the action following the first break. Level 5 is underway with blinds of 100/200 and a 25 ante. Bradley’s stack totals roughly 44,000 and he’s more than quadrupled up over the first two+ hours. Also near the top of the counts with 38,000 is Donald Bowler.

Those in the early game include Phil Hui and Loni Harwood. Their collective resumes include a combined nearly $4,000,000 in career earnings, three gold bracelets and seven gold rings.

The clock strikes 11am and cards are in the air for the first-ever World Series of Poker Circuit at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The series opener boasts a $365 buy-in, $50,000 guaranteed and is structure to play out in one day. At its conclusion, the tournament’s champion will earn the lion’s share of a hefty prize pool along with the tour’s token prize — a gold ring.

The WSOP Circuit at Coco runs daily through the the 19th awarding a total of 13 gold rings. Headline events include Friday and Saturday’s $365 re-entry with a $300,000 guarantee as well as a $3,250 High Roller and the $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event which is slated to wrap the series.

More than a dozen gold rings and two entries in the season-ending WSOP Global Casino Championship to be awarded February 8-19

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (January 8, 2018) – Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will partner for the first time ever beginning February 8 to bring the brand’s award-winning Circuit back to the South Florida region.

The 12-day series kicks off with a $300,000 guaranteed opener and is punctuated by a $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. In addition to millions of dollars in prizes, up for grabs will be two entries in the WSOP’s season-ending $10,000 Global Casino Championship where players will compete for their share of a prize pool worth at least $1,000,000 and a gold bracelet in this one-of-a-kind televised event.

Headline events for the WSOP Circuit at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek include:

  • $365 No Limit Hold’em (Event 2) — $300,000 guaranteed February 9-11
  • $3,250 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Event 9) — $100,000 guaranteed February 15-16
  • $1,675 Main Event No Limit Hold’em (Event 10) — $1,000,000 guaranteed February 16-19

Along with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is one of just two Florida properties to host a WSOP Circuit event as Seminole Gaming has exclusive rights to the tour in its current season.

The series’ $1,675 Main Event provides players two starting flights beginning Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17 at 11 a.m. The tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 and permits a single re-entry per flight. Day 2 begins Sunday, February 18 at 12 p.m. and the third and final session of play takes place the following day at 12 p.m.

The Main Event champion will take home a six-figure first prize, a custom gold ring trophy and a $10,000 entry in the Global Casino Championship.
