The tables here are starting to fill up and there’s a line of people waiting to get in and take their seat. The number of entrants is currently at 114 as the second level has just gotten underway.

Among those taking their seats is South Florida tournament regular Luis Santoni who recently moved over one million dollars in career tournament earnings. He is joined by Jay Romano who won a tournament at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open here in February. A third familiar face is Stephen Diamantas who has two six-figure scores here in South Florida in the last year including a win at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Championship Event last December.

Over the remainder of this year and 2015 in poker tournaments across the Seminole Hard Rock Florida casinos, players have the opportunity to earn points and take home incredible prizes that include buy-ins to future Seminole Casino tournaments.

Stax Poker Lounge is also running satellites into the $2,500 Championship Event right up until registration closes for the event. That tournament has a $1,000,000 Guaranteed prize pool. Come on down and take a shot at getting in on one of the biggest poker tournaments of the year in South Florida.

We’re about to get started here at the 2014 Coco Poker Open with the start of Event 1. There are five scheduled flights for this event with two more taking place on both Friday and Saturday. Players can re-enter on any start day and can also re-enter as a new player in any subsequent starting flight. Players that have chips remaining from more than one starting flight will take their largest stack with them on Day 2. All events are taking space in the spacious Pavilion Room.

Play will conclude today at the end of level 14 or when 12% of the field is remaining, whichever comes first. The five flights will combine on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 for Day 2.

The 2014 Coco Poker Open tournament series will kick-off on Thursday, September 25 at 7pm in the Pavilion. The series features twelve main events along with several satellite events and exciting live poker action.

The $1 million guaranteed Coco Poker Open Championship, October 2-6, will feature three starting days, 30,000 in chips, and follows the popular structure from Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s February tournament series.
