Jason Young

Florida’s Jason Young owned the early stages of 2019 winning the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Lucky Hearts Poker Open Main Event in January and finishing third at the WSOP Circuit Coconut Creek the next month. His solid play not only scored him a pile of loot, but anointed him Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year. As such, Young got a party that kicked off the Coconut Creek WSOP Circuit late last week

In addition to a good bash, Young earned entries in each of this year’s eligible Main Events/Championships and comp dollars good for use at each property now through August 2020.

A $1,700 entry in to today’s Main Event Day 1A marks his first redemption of the season and he looks for it to the set the tone for the rest of the year.

Dominique Mosley

Like the aforementioned Kammar Andries, Dominique Mosley enjoyed some notable success at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek during the February 2018 World Series of Poker Circuit. At the time he primarily played pot limit Omaha cash, but that didn’t stop him from earning a title in the $3,250 buy-in High Roller event. It was a big score of $75,480 and came at the hands of a 74-entry field.

Mosley is back on the felt here in Coconut Creek, but as the event he won nearly two years ago restarts on one side of the room, he’s on the other side in the $1,700 Main Event. It has been a good start for Mosley, who’s nearly doubled up his 30,000 starting chips.

Yesterday’s $2,200 High Roller saw a total of 65 players pony up the big buy-in to take a shot at a South Florida title. Over the course of 12 levels, just 20 found a bag and they return today at 2pm to play it out for a gold ring.

At present, David DiBernardi tops the counts with a stack of 174,500. There’s a tough field behind, though, with Cord Garcia, Ian O’Hara, Sam Panzica, Bryce McVay and Martin Ryan all in the top half of the chip counts.

Registration is available until the start of Day 2 and we will provide the complete payouts as soon as they’re made available.

Good luck, high rollers!

Kammar Andries

With the big $1,000,000 guarantee, the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek Main Event attracts players from all over the globe in search of a huge score and poker fame. One player that’s already carded a huge score and achieved his 15 minutes of poker fame is Kammar Andries.

It was in February of 2018 when Andries won the inaugural Main Event here in Coconut Creek. That win earned Andries $241,898 along with a berth in the season-ending Global Casino Championship.

He’s back in action here in sunny South Florida looking to top another tough field. His run at a follow-up title is off to a decent start with the first break of Day 1A right around the corner.
