Michael Foley

The first two hands on the bubble were not interesting but things went sideways when we had two all-ins called on the third.

On one table, Michael Foley had his opponent all in and in trouble with KdKs against 9h9s. They waited for the rest of the table to finish when another one happened.

Voitto Rintala had Kiaran McLaughlin all in and covered with the board sitting QdQh8c. McLaughlin flopped trip queens AdQc but was up against Rintala’s flopped full house 8h8d.

They ran the kings versus nines first and Foley’s big hand held to burst the bubble. On the other, the board finished Js and 3s to send the other bubble player out.

That left 62 players in the tournament with only a few hands remaining in the day.

Level 20: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante

Martin Borras

Martin Borras was sitting with 72,000 in early position and found something he liked. He moved all in, sat back, and watched as two other players moved all in as well before a big stack called to create the four-way Monster Stack monster pot.

Borras: 8h8c
Opponent 1: AhKh
Opponent 2: AcKc
Opponent 3: QcQd

Borras liked his eights to start but was in rough shape once the betting was complete.

The queens were looking good with two big slicks killing each other’s outs but they fell to second after the KdTs3s flop. Then both big slicks fell behind themselves when Borras spiked the 8d turn for his set.

The river blanked Js to send Borras a big quadruple as the money bubble nears.

Roberto Bendeck opened the action and a player behind quickly moved all in for 59,000. It folded to Dimitry Agrachov in the big blind and he reshipped for more to get a fold from Bendeck.

Agrachov: AsQd
Opponent: 6s6d

It was a race the Agrachov missed the Tc9c4c flop and 5d turn. The bad news for his opponent came on the Ac river to send her out late in the day.

Dimity Agrachov – 290,000 (58 bb)

Justin Harvell

The Monster Stack went bigger this year with 546 entries beating the 538 the tournament drew in 2018. The tournament played down late on Day 2 and Rodney Moret-Rojas captured the title in the evening hours. We don’t see him in the field today but we did find Justin Harvell.

Harvell had a chance for his first ring but fell short in last years Monster Stack finishing second after a long heads-up battle. It was another close call for Harvell with ten WSOPC final tables; three of them runner-up and three in third place.

He’s looking to fix that sometime tomorrow.
