Frank Russo

Larry Klur open-shoved for 12,800 from early position and the cutoff player pushed out a stack worth 34,000 (not all in). Frank Russo was on the button and started to talk and think. He had 18,400 behind and called at risk before the blinds folded.

Russo: KsJs
Klur: 8h8c
Cutoff: 7h7s

“No sets!” Russo asked the dealer.

Klur was ahead for the triple up and nothing changed on the As9c3s flop. The Ad turn paired the board and the 9s put two pair aces and nines out there. Russo’s king kicker played and he celebrated while Klur was eliminated from the Main Event.

Frank Russo – 51,600 (65 bb)

Jessica Cai

Jessica Cai opened to 1,200 from the cutoff and picked up calls from Scott Zakheim on the button and Tim Kegel in the small blind. The flop came Kd9c4d and Kegel bet 1,400.

Cai and Zakheim called, the turn came Jd and Kegel bet another 2,300. Cai called, Zakheim folded, and the river was 6s. Kegel fired again for 4,000 and Cai called after a short think.

Cai: 9d8d
Kegel: Ks9s

Kegel flopped two pair but Cai’s middle pair/diamond draw got there on the turn and she dragged the pot.

Jessica Cai – 46,900 (94 bb)
Tim Kegel – 25,000 (50 bb)

Steven McKoy

We’re seeing a lot of players from our sister room in Hollywood taking the short drive north for the RunGood Main Event. Steven McKoy is one of them and it didn’t take long for him to jump into the lead. He was one of the late reg players and spun his 20K starting stack up to 102,600

With 245 entries so far, the prize pool is on the verge of pushing the prize pool over $250,000.

There are a lot of visitors in the tournament today but it’s a local leading the way. Devin Batista returned to the biggest stack in the room at this point with 82,300 in a room without a lot of big stacks.

Level 5 is underway to leave only two hours and change before we close the doors on the Main Event.

The first break of the crazy day came around and the Poker Room emptied of players. They’ll be able to take 15 minutes to grab a bite, drink, or fresh air before coming back to Level 5.

They’ll four more levels after that and registration will close after the second break.

Michael Larkin

Issy Zahan found a good spot to get her short stack in the middle. She was all in for 5,000 against Michael Larkin with her JcJd racing against AhKh.

The all-sevens 7c7s7d flop gave her a boat and the 4c turn changed nothing. The case 7h came on the river and her pocket jacks suddenly turned into a jack kicker with quad sevens. Larkin’s ace played and she was eliminated.

Michael Larkin – 32,000 (107 bb)

We have a full house in the Poker Room and we haven’t even reached the afternoon hours yet. The 175 entries at the start of Level 3 popped the prize pool over $200,000 with a lot more expected.

A lot of talented walked in the door recently including Loni Hui, Evan Teitelbaum, Raminder Singh, and Paul Balzano.

Lisa Teebagy

Lisa Teebagy is having a nice series and she can keep it rolling in the Main Event. We opened the series with a $250 Super Stack multi-flight tournament and she cruised through the final table.

Teebagy held the lead for most of the time, right up until the final hand when David Albertson topped her by a bit. They chopped it down the middle, she took second place but the same amount of money. Then she entered Event 3 and cashed again.
