Simon Philip

The levels went up and the action got fast. Both Ken Berman and Simon Philip took turns getting their chips in trying to catch Ryan Wiess but the first two were not called. The big hand happened when Berman opened to 500,000 from the small blind and Philip called in the big to the 7s3c3h flop.

Berman bet 500,000, Philip called, and the turn came 4d. Berman announced all in and Philip snapped a call.

Berman: 6c4c
Philip: Ac3s

“Come on dealer,” Berman asked. “Give it to me.”

Philip was ahead with the flopped trip treys and Berman’s bingo card was the next in the deck. The 4s came on the river to give a bigger boat and Philip was sent out in third place.

It’s been a great early run for Bielecky with a fourth place finish in Event 1 and a fifth place this evening.
