The levels went up and the action got fast. Both Ken Berman and Simon Philip took turns getting their chips in trying to catch Ryan Wiess but the first two were not called. The big hand happened when Berman opened to 500,000 from the small blind and Philip called in the big to the flop.

Berman bet 500,000, Philip called, and the turn came . Berman announced all in and Philip snapped a call.

Philip was ahead with the flopped trip treys and Berman’s bingo card was the next in the deck. The came on the river to give a bigger boat and Philip was sent out in third place.

Ryan Weiss doubled through Tom Bielecky in the previous level, the stacks changed a bit after that, and Weiss made another move on Bielecky after he opened to 360,000 from the small blind. Weiss moved all in for 2,070,000 from the big and Weiss called with a slightly bigger stack.

Weiss was in a lot of trouble and looking at fifth place until the dealer spread the flop. Bielecky was the one who needed to catch but the turn and river were no help. Weiss doubled, Bielecky was left with less than six big blinds and went out two hands later.

The end of Level 31 came to an end and tournament staff announced it was time for a break. But they had to play out the last hand and it was a big one.
