It took less than 30 minutes for the Seniors Event to go from dinner break to bursting the money bubble. They redrew seats at the last two tables and then went into hand-for-hand mode when 17 players were remaining.

Things did not go well for Bruce Kahn starting at that point. Early on the bubble, he lost a race with to to send most of his stack away. He found a small double against Evan Teitelbaum then limped a hand from middle position.

Rob Cohen raised to 17,000 and the rest of the table folded. Kahn announced all in for 35,500 and Cohen called.

Kahn ran into a much bigger pair and he could not find any help as the dealer ran out the board. He was eliminated on the money bubble and the rest of the players were in the money.

Evan Teitelbaum opened the action from middle position, Michael Goldfarb moved all in for 36,500 from the small blind and Teitelbaum called.

Goldfarb was in great shape for a double but Teitelbaum found two nines on the flop. That prompted Goldfarb to stand up from his table as the turn came and he sat back down when the river finished his backdoor flush to double.

Claudio Piedrabuena open-shoved for his last 17,000 and Larry Klur called. It folded around to Lisa Levy and she moved all in over the top to get a fold from Klur (who showed AJo).

Piedrabuena needed help to stay in the Seniors Event but he found more bad news with a six in the window of the flop. They both made a set but Piedabuena was down to a single out. The turn and river finished the board to send Piedrabuena out before the dinner break.

The Seniors Event was sticking around with four tables for a long time after registration closed but finally dropped to three tables with 26 players remaining. They still have a little work ahead of them today with 16 of them getting paid.

They combined to create a prize pool worth $25,215 with the last 16 places getting paid. A min-cash is worth $492 and the Seniors Champ will earn $7,312 along with the RunGood trophy.

The second break came to an end and the Seniors returned to action with registration closed. The tournament clock shows 123 entries to put more than $25,000 in the prize pool, we will post the payout information as soon as it is available.

Evan Teitelbaum went from all in earlier to the chip leader at the second break. He sits at the top with 119,500 but Peter Horenstein is not far behind with 114,000.

Lisa Levy is the only other player with a six-digit stack and he 101,000 puts her in third. She’s coming off a nice run in Hollywood where she won the $250 Ladies Event during the Poker Showdown series.
