The turbo tournament was playing along exactly as you would expect. Not a lot of waiting around to get the chips in the middle.

Event 4 reached the money bubble not long after the dinner break and they went into hand-for-hand mode with 28 remaining and 27 getting paid. Nothing happened on the first two hands but there was an all in at each table on the third.

Three of them were called and they went one-by-one until it was settled.

On the first hand, Ariel Rosello was all in for 112,000 with the board reading . His opponent called but he was in trouble with against Rosello’s flopped set with . The river came and Rosello doubled.

On the next table, one opponent was all in for crumbs and was called by two spots. The two live players checked down the board and Michael Merisier’s rivered the better hand against and the all in player’s to send him out.

The last hand saw Danny Calway-Fagen all in for 132,000 with a race holding against . His good news came on the flop. Calway-Fagen was able to fade the turn and river for his double.

The guarantee was but a blip on the Event 4 radar as the field zoomed past the 100-entry marks and sits at about 150 early  late in Level 5. That puts the prize pool at an unofficial $47,100 with late registration and re-entry available until about 3:30pm.

South Florida regulars Gil Aboodi and Steve McKoy are among those who have contributed to the entry count thus far. Both have recorded wins in their home state, but hope to add a gold ring to their resumes in today’s double stack turbo. Aboodi has already busted his first entry while McKoy is only one deep.
