With the flop showing 8-7-4, Harry Eisenberg made a bet and Ted Transue moved all in over the top. Eisenberg snap called with pocket Kings that was well ahead of the Ace-7 that Ted held. The turn and river were no help for “Papa Bear” and he is our 8th place finisher.

Event 8: 9th Place, Julio Fernandez – $639

$300 Seniors (50+) No Limit Hold’em

Blinds 1.2K/2.4K Ante 400

Julio Fernandez limped in early position and it was folded to Grady Yeager who made it 10K to go. Fernandez moved all in for slightly less than 30K and Grady made the call with QcTc. Fernandez had AsKd. Fernandez was looking good on the 9d8h5s flop but the Qh on the turn changed that. The river was the 5c and Julio is our first player eliminated, finishing in 9th place.

Blinds 1K/2K Ante 300

Marty Gorenc was eliminated in 12th place when his Qd6d could not out draw Harry Eisenberg’s pocket Jacks. Luis Santoni was eliminated in 11th place when his pocket 10’s lost to the Ad3s of Ted Transue when an Ace flopped. They merged to one final table of ten and a short stacked Robert Zuckerman was quickly knocked out to give us our final nine.
